About Johnstown United FC
Johnstown United FC was created in 2025 to bring more opportunities for soccer players to grow their careers. In Johnstown, there are not many close options for competitive soccer. The program started because of a dream — a dream to play professional soccer. And although that plan didn’t quite work out, we aspire to help other kids reach that dream. The idea for the colors and the logo for Johnstown United FC was motivated by Johnstown’s History. Our colors represent the original Johnstown flag adopted in 1912. The colors were blue, yellow, blue. The outer logo was created because Johnstown was known for the old rolling mill mines in 1902, which motivated the coal and miner part on the brim of the logo. The mountains resemble the ones surrounding the city of Johnstown. Finally, the name “Johnstown United FC” came from the idea of a club that would bring unity to the city of Johnstown through a soccer stadium and the actions of the players and the fans. We want to see the dream of Johnstown coming back to life come true, and we encourage you to keep working toward your dreams while helping us work on ours.
